Rafeeqah Galant is a South African producer, writer, and director with over 15 years of experience in content creation and digital storytelling. With her background in Art History and English from the University of South Africa, complemented by degrees in Commerce from the University of the Western Cape and diplomas in Creative Writing, Scriptwriting, and Journalism from City Varsity, Rafeeqah brings a multidisciplinary approach to arts and cultural production.

As the founder of Echo Ledge Media and currently through her communication design consultancy Fabled Digital, Rafeeqah has developed expertise in translating complex narratives into engaging content across multiple platforms. Her work at Aviro Health demonstrated her ability to develop culturally relevant health communication materials across Sub-Saharan Africa, while her experience at the University of Cape Town’s Centre for Innovation in Learning and Teaching showcases her skill in creating educational content that bridges academic research with public engagement.

Rafeeqah’s filmmaking portfolio includes numerous shorts that have screened at prominent African festivals including the Durban International Film Festival. Her work often explores themes of personal identity, heritage, and social narratives within contemporary African contexts.

With experience in user experience design, project management, and content strategy, Rafeeqah specialises in creating spaces for meaningful audience engagement with cultural content. Her practice seamlessly integrates traditional storytelling techniques with innovative digital approaches, making complex ideas accessible while maintaining their intellectual integrity.
